OAMGA SILVER JUBILEE FUNCTION
I had the honour of attending the 25th anniversary Silver Jubilee
celebrations of the Overseas and Australian Medical Graduates Association
(OAMGA) last Saturday, 4 November, in Sydney.
I addressed the
distinguished guests which included the deputy premier of NSW the Hon
John Watkins MP,
the president of the AMA, Dr Mukesh Haikerwal, and the
NSW state President of the AMA Dr Andrew Keegan. It was wonderful to
hear of the amazing work that the organisation does in supporting
International medical graduates, which includes our College's tools for
Fellowship exam preparation, and of their involvement in improving
health outcomes in our community.
I congratulate and thank my charming
host Dr Nagamma, the president of OAMGA, and their executive for
organising a spectacular evening and for inviting me to take part.
I
look forward to our College's on going involvement with OAMGA.
